Criminal proceedings against Los Angeles-based OnlyFans model Adva Lavie –who goes by the name Mia Ventura— moved forward last week and details have emerged via the publicly released warrants.
Lavie is accused of stealing from people she met through dating apps, but proceedings have been temporarily suspended over concerns about her “mental competency,” as addressed by her attorney. She is expected to appear at a mental health courthouse next month.
The 29 year old creator who has also used the aliases Shoshana and Shana, as well as Mia, is facing six felony charges in Los Angeles County, including grand theft and first-degree residential burglary. Prosecutors allege that Lavie met wealthy men and women through dating apps and social connections with the intention of stealing cash, jewelry, designer clothing and other valuables from their homes between 2023 and 2025.
The police search warrant also indicates that a Beverly Hills detective had been investigating whether Lavie drugged her then-fiancé, Stephen Cloobeck, with ketamine, though as LA Times reports, she has not been charged with drugging anyone. The Times also reports that (LAPD) asked for a warrant in August to search Lavie’s phone, which is how they discovered that the detective, named Steve Own, was looking into the potential drugging of Cloobeck.
The warrant also details Own’s surveillance, which includes info about Lavie taking selfies at Azur restaurant while she was out on bail and not wearing her court-ordered ankle monitor. It also states that while on bail last year the creator went to the Coachella music festival where Indio police say she stole an $8,600 Rolex, Louis Vuitton items, nearly $2,000 in cash, and drove off in the victim’s Cybertruck.
ABC7’s report adds further details to the serious charges, wherein a former friend alleges that her engagement ring disappeared after a dinner party at Cloobeck’s home. The friend adds that Lavie “immediately became defensive” when asked to help find it. An LA County Sheriff’s bulletin suggests the investigation has spread to Hermosa Beach, Nevada, Florida, Italy and France.
Ventura was a guest on Holly Randall Unfiltered back in March of 2024 sharing her personal story, which saw her leave her native Israel with the help of her “financial slaves.” Speaking about her Orthodox Jewish upbringing, serving in active war zones and how her career made national headlines in Israel, the creator also talks about taking money from men, but as a consensual exchange based on a financial domination dynamic.
