Before the interview begins we get treated to beautiful shots of the camera lens being adjusted and the couple’s hands in the viewfinder, showing off the diamond engagement ring. The visual storytelling is clear: their relationship is on show– the personal has become a public display as this everyday couple enters the world of professionally shot adult media.
I was hooked by this scene immediately and excited for Dan’s entrance. How would it feel when the hotwife was finally paired with the talented, well-endowed adult star of her dreams? How would the star behave knowing he was about to take her pussy right in front of her fiance?
Savvy and Dan have good chemistry, especially once they get in the groove of things. There’s some hot dirty talk and the shots are arranged well. The biggest way Alex makes his presence known is through the “husband cam” which, honestly, was a stroke of genius on the creators’ parts. The professional cameras help the scene’s production quality and add to the “hotwife gets to be a pornstar for a day” fantasy, but the shots from Alex’s phone really take things to the next level. It’s formally interesting when two shots are included in the same frame– reminiscent of PMVs and gooner content in general. It simultaneously manages to help simulate the experience of being in the room while creating the sense that Savvy’s fucking is a media spectacle not “just sex.” It’s an exciting bit of formal innovation that I hope to see more of in the future.
The core scene wraps up with some sweet aftercare I appreciate in a mainstream adult film. The post-fuck interview includes Dan, a detail I appreciated highly. He and Savvy are cozy in a towel and bathrobe, and the interview is shot vertically which adds to a homey comedown feeling. It’s great to hear about how much everyone enjoyed it, and nice to see Dan and Alex engage more directly than they had before and during the scene. I’m excited to see the industry keep expanding into new genres and styles – I’d love to see more splitscreens, integrated vertical videos and reality shows going forward.
