ho's Next? Three of Adult Film's Top Directors Name Their Rising Stars to Watch
Nobody has a better eye for breakout talent than the directors behind the camera. Wet Ink asked three of the industry's most decorated helmers for their picks on the performers poised to define the next era of adult entertainment — and the answers did not disappoint.
When it comes to predicting the next generation of adult superstars, the directors signing the call sheets have an advantage nobody else does. They see performers under pressure, on their best days and their most demanding ones. They know within minutes of a first shoot whether someone has it — that rare combination of presence, professionalism, and raw magnetism that separates a working performer from a genuine star. Wet Ink sat down with three of the most prolific and award-winning directors in the business to ask the question everyone in the industry is quietly asking: who's next?
Mike Quasar is not a man who hands out compliments freely, which is precisely why it’s worth paying attention when he does. He has shot Rissa May at least ten times since she first crossed his radar, which in Quasar terms is basically a standing ovation.
"Rissa May checks every possible box," he says. "She's young but carries a certain maturity and she's very easy to work with. Her sexual energy is extraordinary and she has a body that is almost extra-terrestrial in its perfection."

Award-winning director and writer Jacky St James has built her reputation on finding and elevating performers who bring genuine depth to their work — so when she calls someone a powerhouse, it carries weight. Her pick is Ivy Ireland.
"She can act, she can perform, and she brings a toughness to everything she does that will take her far in this industry," St James says. "She's professional, dedicated, and the kind of talent that doesn't come along every day. Performer of the Year feels inevitable for her, and when that day comes, nobody will be more deserving."

If there is one name that is synonymous with trophies at awards season, it's Ricky Greenwood. The man is practically a permanent fixture at the podium — whether he's collecting Best Director, Best Movie, or both in the same night. When someone with that kind of track record tells you to watch a performer, you write the name down.
"Lucy Mochi is the complete package," he says — and he means it. "Stunning looks, natural beauty, and the kind of performance instincts that you simply can't teach. She's fearless on set, always willing to go above and beyond to deliver exactly what a scene needs, and her acting ability puts her in a league of her own. I've been lucky enough to work with her over the last two years on the independent side, and watching her transition into mainstream now feels like the rest of the industry is finally catching up to what I already knew. When people figure out what she's capable of, she's going to be everywhere — and honestly, it's only a matter of time."
Three directors with three different niches, aesthetics, and approaches to filmmaking. Three completely different picks. The only thing they agree on is that the performers they're watching right now are the ones everybody else will be talking about soon. Consider this your early notice.
